Pilates is a full-body exercise system designed to improve flexibility, physical strength, body alignment and mental awareness.

Pilates focusses on the retraining of the deep core stabilising muscles which helps improve posture, strength and flexibility.

We also offer clinical pilates for our patients that require one-on-one sessions with one of our physiotherapists.

Pilates classes have been shown to assist in the recovery from conditions like lower back pain, neck pain and is commonly used by athletes to improve athletic performance.

Our classes are designed to help restore you to full health. Prior to attending a class, your physiotherapist will conduct an assessment and design a program for you to maximise the benefits of the class.

Types of Classes

At our Camberwell clinic, we offer teen pilates classes and beginners pilates classes.

The beginners class is designed for people who are recovering from injury or who have had no previous pilates experience.

The teen pilates class is designed for teens who have poor posture, flexibility and/or core strength and focusses on correcting these issues to prevent future difficulties with recurring headaches, neck and back pain, while aiming to improve upon their strength and overall flexibility.

  • How long do classes run for

    Our pilates classes run 30-60minutes depending on the type of class.

  • What do I need to bring?

    Please bring a water bottle and towel.

  • What should I wear?

    Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows you to move and stretch easily.

  • Do I need to bring a mat?

    Mats are supplied and all equipment such as foam rollers, pilates rings and fitballs
