Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. A doctor’s referral is unnecessary for treatment at Integrated Health. Depending on your health insurance, you may be entitled to a rebate.

Do you have HICAPS?

Yes. Private health rebates are available at the time of consultation if you bring your current health insurance card and have the appropriate extra’s option.

How long is an appointment?

An initial physiotherapy appointment includes thorough assessment and treatment of your injury and will take approximately 40 minutes. Subsequent appointments take up to 20 minutes.

Podiatry appointments generally take 30 minutes. This may vary depending on procedures required.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

Any referrals, x-ray or scan results relating to your injury, pension card or health insurance card.

What if I’m running late?

We regret keeping our patients waiting, therefore arriving late may shorten your treatment time.

Do you treat Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) patients?

Yes. The therapists at Integrated Health can treat DVA patients provided you have a current doctor’s referral (12 month expiry).

Do you treat Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) / Medicare patients?

Yes. If your doctor deems that you are eligible they can complete the necessary paperwork and referral to either physiotherapy or podiatry. This will entitle you to up yo 5 visits per calendar year.

Do you treat Transport Accident Commission (TAC) patients?

Yes. If you have been injured in a transport accident, the TAC can cover your physiotherapy sessions however a doctor’s referral is required.

Do you treat workers compensation patients?

Yes. We can treat work cover patients provided you have a doctor’s work cover certificate indicating referral to physiotherapy and your insurer has accepted liability.
